Barista

At Muggswigz, baristas are responsible for setting the tone of the café and delivering the quality our guests return for. This role includes preparing handcrafted coffee and tea drinks, producing house-made syrups and baked goods, assisting customers with product knowledge and care, supporting retail offerings, and maintaining a polished, welcoming shop environment.

This is a skill-focused position that goes far beyond a standard counter-service job. It requires consistency, dependability, and close attention to detail, along with a desire to continue learning. Because of these expectations, Muggswigz baristas are compensated at levels that typically exceed comparable food-service roles.

This position is not ideal for someone seeking an easy or low-responsibility shift, particularly if punctuality or reliability are concerns. For individuals interested in building a future in specialty coffee or tea, however, this role offers a strong starting point. We offer both part-time and full-time scheduling. Training pay begins at $13/hour plus tips, with a structured advancement plan that can lead to $22/hour plus bonuses in roughly six months.

No prior barista experience is required. We’re looking for candidates with initiative, accountability, and self-motivation. All new hires complete a comprehensive training program.
