Barista/Bartender - Front Range Cafe - Waldo

Front Range Coffee & Provisions is a neighborhood coffee shop & bar located in the Waldo Neighborhood. We’re a family friendly, alpine-themed shop that is cozy, warm, and inviting. We serve locally roasted coffee and pastries in the mornings, and offer a simple food and drink menu throughout the day. On the bar side, we serve locally crafted beer, wine, and spirits. We also have a small retail area for shopping. Front Range is owned and operated by Made in KC.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an almost full time Barista/Bartender to add to our team. An ideal candidate is first and foremost passionate about customer service, able to create an inviting ambiance, familiar with coffee and/or service industry. A successful Barista/Bartender will take responsibility for maintaining a clean and stocked cafe and assist with various auxiliary projects. The position requires a willingness to learn about our unique menu offerings, the brands we sell, and the products we carry.

We are looking for someone who can work around 25 hours weekly. Mixed shifts, both morning and afternoon/closing. Please have flexible availability, including weekends.

You will work 4-5 shifts per week

Shifts needed: weekday closing (2:30-10:30 or 3:30-10:30), weekends (midday or closing)

*$16-18/hr includes tip sharing! (Base pay: $11-$13/hr. + $5/hr. tip matching)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow drink recipes accurately, ensuring a consistent customer experience.
• Demonstrating all policies and procedures set forth at Front Range
• Explain product offerings in an inclusive manner when engaging with curious customers.
• Work in an organized and clean manner keeping all tools in their place at all times, work area clean, FIFO, etc.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of spirit offerings, cocktail preparation and technique.
• Have basic product knowledge on our retail goods and our POS system, Square.
• Thoroughly clean counters, floors, work spaces and ceramics/glass after each shift.
• Readily assist others on the team when necessary.

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum 1-year customer service experience, food & beverage preferred
• Minimum 1-year Barista experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Minimum 1-year Bartending experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with manager and customers
• Excellent Customer Service
• Positive attitude!
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Must have some weekend and evening availability
• May occasionally work at our Front Range location in the Waldo neighborhood
