Bartender

Shankar Distillers seeks bartenders to join our talented team at our flagship Tasting Room in Troy, Michigan. JOB DUTIES

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Educate customers on who we are, our spirits and our cocktails
• Learn, memorize and execute cocktails, technique and presentation
• Strong communication with team members to ensure accurate, efficient service
• Diligently conduct transactions from ringing in drinks, to bottle sales, to properly handling cash
• Assist with a range of opening and closing activities and event set up tasks
• Contribute to new cocktail menu development
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Maintain a positive, respectful, upbeat attitude
• Build the brand and get customers to come back again

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Beverage experience required. While we are a craft cocktail bar, we’ll transform beer and shot bartenders and baristas into talented craft cocktail bartenders.
• Experience with BOH prep and other cocktail ingredients a plus.
• Willingness to learn, contribute to a team environment and desire to grow professionally.
• Infectious personality with a passion for our spirits and our story
• Honesty and respect for yourself, the craft and the business is paramount

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
