Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, positive manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, payments, and refunds seamlessly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially in nightlife or nightclub settings.
- Assist with food service when necessary, including serving food items during banquets or catering events.
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies, tracking consumption, and communicating supply needs.
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling, beverage preparation, and overall hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold high standards of customer service by actively listening to guest preferences and providing personalized recommendations.
- Participate in ongoing training related to beverage knowledge, food safety regulations, and hospitality best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate change distribution.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within legal guidelines; knowledge of alcohol laws is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality venues like nightclubs or banquet events.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage trends can be an added advantage for enhancing guest experience.
