Bartender (Part-Time) – Growth Opportunity with Bar Director Mentorship

Job Description:
McGregor’s Butcher & Bistro is seeking a part-time bartender who wants more than just a shift—we’re looking for someone who wants to grow.

This role is designed for a bartender with some experience who is ready to take the next step by working alongside an accomplished Bar Director. You’ll gain hands-on experience in craft cocktails, batching, bar systems, and high-level service in a chef-driven, hospitality-focused environment.

For the right person, this is a stepping stone into a larger role as our bar program continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Work side-by-side with our Bar Director during peak service (especially Friday & Saturday evenings)
  • Execute cocktails with consistency, precision, and attention to detail
  • Engage guests with a warm, confident, and professional presence
  • Assist with batching, prep, and bar organization
  • Support the overall flow of service as part of a team-first environment
  • Step into additional bar shifts and responsibilities as you grow

Experience

  • Some bartending experience (craft cocktail experience is a plus, not required)
  • Outgoing personality and strong guest interaction skills
  • A genuine desire to learn and improve behind the bar
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
  • Reliability and flexibility with scheduling
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts

Schedule & Growth Opportunity:

  • Approximately 15–20 hours per week behind the bar
  • Primary shifts: Friday & Saturday evenings
  • One weekday shift (prep, batching, or service support)

Additional serving shifts are available for those who want more hours and earning potential.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly ($10–$12 based on experience) + tips
  • Ongoing mentorship and hands-on training from an experienced Bar Director
  • Opportunity for advancement as the bar program grows

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
