Bartender/Server

Position Overview

At Riley’s Bar + Burger, we strive to create the best burger, best drink, and best hospitality experience in town. As a Bartender, you are the face of our bar—responsible for delivering genuine hospitality, crafting consistent beverages, and keeping our bar top and guests engaged. You’ll balance speed, accuracy, and friendliness while upholding our culture of excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Hospitality

- Greet every guest promptly with warmth, energy, and eye contact.- Build rapport with guests—create memorable experiences that drive repeat visits.- Anticipate needs: refill drinks, clear plates/glasses, and maintain a welcoming environment.- Make regular rounds on the floor to check in with guests beyond the bar, ensuring everyone feels taken care of.- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate to management if needed.

Bar Operations

- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Riley’s recipes and standards.- Maintain knowledge of rotating draft beers, cocktails, and specials.- Keep bar top, well, and service station clean and organized at all times.- Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible service of alcohol in line with state law and company policy.- Process all payments through our cashless system (credit/debit cards only).

Teamwork & Shift Support

- Support servers and fellow bartenders by running drinks, bussing, and assisting with side work.- Run food as needed to support the floor team and maintain service speed.- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth service flow.- Assist with restocking product, rotating kegs, and preparing garnishes.- Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures consistently.

Standards & Compliance

- Uphold sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards in line with health code.- Minimize waste by practicing proper portioning and product handling.- Limit personal phone use during shifts—focus stays on guests and team.

Qualifications

- Must be 21+ years old with a valid Wisconsin bartending license (or ability to obtain).- 1+ years bartending or strong serving experience preferred (we’ll train the right fit).- Outgoing personality with strong hospitality instincts.- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.- Knowledge of beer, spirits, and cocktails a plus, but willingness to learn is key.

Physical Demands

- Standing/walking for long periods.- Lifting up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, ice).- Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
