Job Description — Business Development Executive (BDE) — Digital Marketing (DM) Agency

Location: Pune (must be based in Pune / strong local availability)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: Freshers welcome | 0–2 years preferred
Reporting To: Sales Manager / Head of Sales

Digivik Business Solutions is a performance-driven digital marketing agency helping businesses grow through lead generation, social campaigns, paid ads, content and end-to-end DM services. We’re hiring energetic BDEs to expand our client base across Pune.

Role overview

We’re looking for a results-oriented Business Development Executive who can source leads, pitch DM solutions confidently, negotiate commercial terms and convert prospects into clients. Freshers with strong communication and selling aptitude are encouraged to apply — we provide training and on-the-job support.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, email outreach, social (LinkedIn/Instagram), field visits and networking.
  • Conduct client discovery calls/meetings, understand pain points and propose relevant digital marketing solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing/terms and close deals to meet individual targets.
  • Maintain and update leads, conversations and pipelines in CRM; follow up rigorously.
  • Coordinate handover to the delivery team ensuring smooth onboarding and campaign kickoff.
  • Attend local business events, meetups and client sites to build relationships and brand presence.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and conversion targets; provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Continuously learn about our service offerings (SEO, PPC, social, content, lead-gen) to confidently consult clients.

Must-have skills & attributes

  • Must be located in Pune and comfortable doing in-person meetings / field visits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation and closing skills — comfortable talking to decision-makers.
  • Proactive, target-driven attitude with strong follow-up discipline.
  • Quick learner — able to understand and explain digital marketing services clearly.
  • Basic computer skills (email, Google Workspace, WhatsApp, CRM).
  • Professional presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Honest, punctual and presentable.

Nice-to-have

  • Prior internship or 0–2 years experience in sales / BDE / inside sales (agency experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, lead lists and basic CRM (HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive).
  • Knowledge of local Pune business landscape and networks.
