Job Description:

Junior Business Development Executive – Investment Banking

Role Objective

The Junior Business Development Executive will support the investment banking team by directly approaching

potential client companies, introducing the firm’s investment banking and advisory services, and scheduling

qualified meetings with promoters, founders, CFOs, and senior management for the senior deal team.

Key Responsibilities

 Conduct direct outreach to target companies through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and professional networks

 Identify and map key decision-makers including promoters, founders, CFOs, and senior management

 Present a preliminary overview of the firm’s investment banking offerings (IPO advisory, private

equity fundraising, M&A, structured finance, etc.)

 Generate qualified leads and schedule introductory calls/meetings for senior bankers

 Maintain detailed records of outreach, follow-ups, and meeting outcomes in CRM or internal trackers

 Coordinate internally to ensure proper handover of client background and discussion points to the deal

team

 Follow up with prospects post initial interaction to ensure continuity and engagement progression

 Assist in preparing basic pitch materials, company profiles, and outreach decks, as required

 Adhere to compliance, confidentiality, and communication protocols applicable to investment banking

Required Skills & Competencies

 Strong verbal and written communication skills

 Confidence in speaking with senior corporate stakeholders

 Ability to understand and communicate financial and advisory services at a high level

 Structured approach to lead generation and follow-ups

 Professional etiquette, discretion, and client-facing maturity

 Basic proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM tools

Preferred Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, corporate outreach, or financial services

 Exposure to investment banking, capital markets, consulting, or financial advisory is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
