We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Analyst to join our team at Office of Developmental Programming located in Torrance State Hospital located in Torrance, Pennsylvania.

This position is Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week; day shift.

Salary: $34.00 - $38.50

The Behavioral Analyst will receive assignments from and report to the BSASP Director of Clinical Services. Assignments may include the following:

  • Functions as a member of the Psychology staff and as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team (when applicable). Responsible for providing psychological services to patients receiving treatment in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. Performs independent and specialized clinical work in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. Work is performed under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and is subject to review through consultation and evaluation of work performed.
  • Serves as a unit psychology staff (Treatment Team Coordinator) for one of the Torrance State Hospital civil units while overseeing the provision of psychological services for approximately 22-26 patients living on the assigned ward (as needed). Duties for the Treatment Team Coordinator are followed according to hospital policy and procedure.
  • Conducts group, individual, and milieu therapy sessions by meeting with the patients who are referred by the treatment team according to the time and frequency identified on the CITP in order to improve the patient’s psychological and emotional behavior.
  • Conducts Functional Behavioral Analyses and completes Specialized Behavior Planning as needed.
  • Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Provides consultation and psychological services education and training to hospital staff and students, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish and sustain working relationships with hospital, and community partners.
  • Mentors Clinical Psychology Interns and Psychology Practicum Students.
  • Functions actively as a member of the Psychology Department by attending supervisory sessions and departmental meetings, and by serving on departmental and/or hospital-wide committees when requested in order to remain knowledgeable of department activities and to represent the department in a professional manner through the hospital.
  • Demonstrates commitment to enhancing cultural competency.
  • Demonstrated competencies in application of techniques and maintain certification in Advance MANDT Training as well as CPR.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with the Performance Improvement/Risk Management standards/procedures designated in the program plans of the department and the hospital by familiarization with those standards/procedures in order to assure that all departmental services are provided within appropriate requirements.
  • Participates in professional trainings by attending/conducting in service and out service training sessions relevant to job duties in order to develop and maintain high level of professional competency.
  • Performs other related duties (not outlined above) and special projects as assigned.
  • Master’s degree in psychology required, Doctorate preferred.
  • License-eligible by the Pennsylvania Psychology Board of licensing.
  • Knowledge of psychology assessment, testing, and treatment. At least one year of experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and treatment.
