The Bell Attendant plays an important role in creating a welcoming first impression for guests. The position ensures smooth luggage handling, valet assistance, and guest escorting services while maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage efficiently and safely.
- Attach baggage claim tags and ensure accurate recording of luggage movement.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explaining key room features and hotel amenities.
- Park guests vehicles in designated areas following safety protocols.
- Deliver messages, newspapers, parcels, and packages promptly to guest rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, concierge desk, and storage areas.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements including limousine, shuttle, and car rental services.
- Handle issuance and control of guest key cards in coordination with the Front Office.
- Communicate effectively with Front Office and Concierge teams for smooth guest service.
- Manage luggage storage requests and ensure proper documentation.
- Handle guest complaints or requests courteously and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, local attractions, and events.
- Perform lobby paging services and assist with guest inquiries.
- Monitor safety and security procedures, including accident prevention and emergency response.
- Record shift activities and hand over pending matters to the next shift through proper logbook entries.
- Assist with special guest needs, VIP services, and group arrivals.
- Ensure grooming, uniform, and appearance standards are consistently met.
