Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hour
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and other voluntary benefits. Ensures employees understand and can access their benefits while maintaining accurate integration with payroll systems.
Works closely with employees to provide guidance and support throughout the benefits lifecycle—from onboarding and enrollment to life event changes and offboarding. Collaborates with the payroll team to ensure seamless coordination of benefit deductions and payroll processing. Plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to a positive employee experience.

Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
2. Knowledge of the English language to include rules of composition and grammar; spelling; punctuation; sentence structure and content; and of word meaning.
3. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word.

Major Duties and Accountabilities:

Administer all employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes and terminations.

Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and provide timely, accurate support.

Meet with new employees to assist and follow up with benefit enrollment

Coordinate annual open enrollment processes with Finance Manager and Leadership, including communications, system updates, vendor coordination, payroll coordination and employee support.

Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure timely enrollment, changes, and terminations within OnePoint and vendor systems.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).
- Assist in benefit audits and prepare required reports, filings, and disclosures (e.g., Form 5500, ACA reporting).

Partner with the Finance Manager to analyze and reconcile benefit invoices, monitor benefit costs, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Research and recommend cost-effective benefit plan designs and wellness programs.

Liaise with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to resolve issues and evaluate plan performance.

Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely deduction processing and reconciliation of benefit-related transactions.

Maintain and update benefit documentation, employee communications, and intranet resources.

Work closely with the payroll department providing all requested and necessary information in a timely manner

Provide any requested reports to leadership in a timely manner

Reconcile monthly, quarterly or annually with OnePoint and all vendor invoices

Work closely with Accounts Payable and Payroll on benefit discrepancies, solving in a timely manner

Follow up on all benefit discrepancies to ensure timely resolution

Assist Accounts Payable and Materials Management as needed

Perform clerical duties as needed

Job Qualifications:
Equipment operated: Standard office equipment including computers, faxes, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Education/Experience: 2-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration or a related role. Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and relevant regulations. Experience working with OnePoint or similar system preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Physical: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
