SUMMARY

As a primary interface with organizational employees and leaders, the Benefits & HRIS Specialist is responsible for performing the requisite duties to ensure effective benefits administration, compliance with applicable benefits laws and regulations, as well as to create a positive employee experience by delivering top-notch customer service to organizational team members. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee employs 600 employees, with approximately 120 benefits eligible employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-scale Benefits Administration

  • Manage and administer all benefits programs, inclusive of: health, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, and 401(k)
  • Provide timely customer service to benefits eligible employees.
  • Process benefits transactions in ADP and in vendor portals.
  • Serve as the benefits vendor liaison by managing vendor portals and regularly communicating with vendor contacts to ensure seamless, accurate and compliant benefits administration. Portal management includes reviewing daily benefits notifications and discrepancy reports and providing timely responses.
  • Responsible for the annual open enrollment process, including open enrollment process setup in ADP.
  • Facilitate new hire benefits enrollments and conduct new hire benefits orientation.
  • Perform ACA-related compliance activities, inclusive of: ADP monthly status review, tracking, and annual year-end 1095-C reporting.

Employee Leave Administration

  • FMLA, ADA, personal leave, parental leave, short-term and long-term disability leaves.

HR Systems Administration & Data Reporting

  • HR Systems Administrator – Subject matter expert to maintain optimal functioning of the HR Information System (ADP), inclusive of: managing access permissions and system updates, providing training to leaders on utilizing ADP, as well as to update information, resources, and communication available to employees within ADP.
  • Data Reporting – Create and generate ADP data reports as needed. Complete various data pulls from ADP and perform data uploads for: EEO reporting, annual BGCA employee headcount report, turnover analysis, compensation data pulls and pay increase uploads.

HR Payroll Liaison (limited scope)

  • Attend biweekly payroll call to review employee terms, missed benefit payments, missed time sheets, retro pay, and enter data on the payroll special payments spreadsheet.
  • Wage garnishment processing.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, CBP, CEBS, and/or HRCI Pro Benefits Certificate preferred.
  • Five to eight years of experience in an employee benefits role required.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (ADP preferred) and benefits vendor portals required.
  • A detail-orientated mindset is necessary to perform work of this nature.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills are required to ensure that benefits are administered timely, accurately and in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to provide top-notch customer service.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information, and a demonstrated history of safeguarding such information.
  • Excellent professionalism, ethics, and embodiment of the BGCGM mission and values.
  • Ability to positively represent the Clubs among various stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of relevant practices related to primary job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
  • Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving record, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
