Senior Power BI Developer

Contract - 3 months (renewable)

Location - Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade dashboards and reports using data sourced from both Azure and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in data visualization best practices, possess strong DAX and Power Query skills, and be capable of integrating diverse cloud-based data sources into a unified reporting layer.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
• Integrate data from Azure (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks) and AWS (e.g., Redshift, S3, Athena, RDS).
• Transform and model raw data using Power Query (M) and DAX to support business metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visual stories.
• Optimize Power BI datasets and reports for performance and usability.

Ideal expertise:

• 5–10 years of experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques.
• Experience connecting Power BI to cloud data sources:
• Azure: Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, ADF
• AWS: Redshift, Athena, S3, RDS
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Power BI Service features including gateways, workspace management, and refresh schedules.
