Key Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate invoices for freight, transportation, warehousing, and other logistics services.
- Validate billing data against contracts, delivery notes, and service reports.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices to clients and follow-up on billing issues.
- Maintain and update billing records in ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle).
- Handle customer queries related to billing and provide necessary clarifications.
- Prepare and share billing reports with internal stakeholders.
- Assist in reconciling accounts receivable and outstanding invoices.
- Support audits by providing required billing documents and reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax rules (GST, etc.) and company policies
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience in logistics or freight billing (2–3 years).
- Strong understanding of billing procedures, taxation (especially GST), and compliance.
- Familiarity with logistics documents like PODs, LR copies, freight agreements, etc.
- Proficient in MS Excel and billing/accounting software.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
