Job Summary:

The Billing Supervisor is responsible for accurately processing and managing billing for patients admitted to the hospital as well those who are receiving medical services without being admitted to hospital . This includes verifying insurance, coding diagnoses, procedures, generating patient invoices, ensuring timely reimbursement from payers, outpatient clinics, same-day surgeries, lab tests, and diagnostic services.

Roles & Responsibiliteis:

· Review and process inpatient hospital charges based on medical records.

· Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to billing.

· Coordinate with coding team to ensure accurate use of ICD and CPT codes.

· Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on pending or denied claims.

· Work with patients and families to explain bills and resolve billing issues.

· Ensure compliance with government regulations (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) and hospital policies.

· Maintain accurate records of billing activities and payments.

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to clarify charges or documentation.

· Generate and review charges for outpatient services.

· Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for outpatient procedures.

· Accurately input codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for outpatient services.

· Submit and track claims to insurance companies, third-party payers, and patients.

· Resolve claim denials or rejections in a timely manner.

· Provide billing support to patients and answer inquiries about charges.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer rules and outpatient billing policies.

Coordinate with providers and departments to clarify and correct charges.

Qualification:

· High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in healthcare administration preferred).

· Experience with hospital billing systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).

· Knowledge of inpatient billing regulations and coding standards.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and customer service skills.

· Experience in outpatient billing and coding.

· Familiarity with outpatient insurance guidelines and compliance requirements.

· Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMRs).

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
