We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Operator to manage the billing and invoicing process at our retail outlet. The role involves handling customer billing, maintaining accurate cash and sales records, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer billing and invoicing using POS systems or billing software.
- Generate bills, receipts, and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash, card, UPI, and other payment modes and reconcile daily sales.
- Maintain proper sales records, stock updates, and transaction entries.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for daily collection reports and discrepancies.
- Address customer billing queries or price issues politely and promptly.
- Ensure the billing counter is organized and all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and billing summaries for management.
- Support inventory and audit teams during stock checks and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience as a Billing Operator / Cashier / Accounts Assistant in retail.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems, Excel, and basic accounting tools.
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to handle customers efficiently and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Willingness to work in shifts or weekends, as per retail store requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Tally or retail billing software.
- Knowledge of GST billing and invoice formats.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
