BIM Analyst

Overview

Parsons is seeking a Landscape BIM/CAD Analyst to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The role involves working with intelligent, diverse people to deliver landscape BIM/CAD design and drafting solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide front line project specific support to design teams.
• Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100 to LOD 350.
• Experience with clash detection processes using Navisworks.
• Prepare landscape drawings including general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information, following established standards and procedures.
• Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries to improve efficiency and utilization.
• Follow technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
• Familiarize with standards and codes such as ISO 19650, BS 1192, etc.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations for landscape drawings.
• Read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
• Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Assist with creation of CAD/BIM standards and implement them throughout the firm.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Architecture / Landscape / Urban Planning/Urban Design from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years of BIM/CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably in landscape projects.
• In-depth working knowledge of Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) with proficiency in BIM/CAD processes.
• Experience with BIM/CAD instruction and training.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
