QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree and eight years’ related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Higher Education Administration, or related field and minimum eight years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing enrollment communications or marketing campaigns with measurable enrollment outcomes
  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing platforms, marketing analytics, and CRM systems
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

– Designs, implements and executes an enrollment management plan through research and analysis of enrollment issues, trends, and models; provides leadership in advancing the College’s enrollment goals

POSITION DETAILS

Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens, LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY). LaGuardia offers more than sixty associate degree programs and more than fifty workforce training, ESOL, GED, and pre-college programs. In 2023, LaGuardia served approximately 24,000 students. More than one-third of LaGuardia’s degree-seeking students are born outside the United States; they come from 136 countries and speak 43 heritage languages. Sixty percent are first-generation college students.

Virtually all LaGuardia students are ethnic minorities (89 percent), 58 percent are women, 27 percent are over the age of 25. Forty-six percent of associate degree students are Hispanic. Upon graduation most students transfer to four-year colleges, typically in CUNY, to complete their baccalaureate degrees. Graduates of career programs such as Nursing, Computer Technology, and Veterinary Technology enter the workforce. Under the direction of the Manager for Enrollment Research, the Enrollment Data Analyst will supporting strategic, data-informed enrollment planning through reporting, research and system analytics. Enrollment Data Analyst will work in close partnership with the Manager for Enrollment Research and senior enrollment team to translate student data into actionable insights that inform recruitment, access, persistence, and institutional decision-making.

Reporting directly to the Manager for Enrollment Research, the Enrollment Data Analyst is responsible for:

  • Manages student database and reviews information regarding enrollment, retention, financial aid, and registration data to identify trends, and resolves issues related to student records and transactions;
  • Reviews data from systems including CUNYfirst, EAB Navigate, Slate CRM, and other prospective student data systems;
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by coordinating the implementation of validation processes and addressing inconsistencies or discrepancies;
  • Provides general information on programs, services, requirements, and standards in collaboration with various offices across the college, and conducts follow up as needed;
  • Maintains online workshops, orientation, and/or tutorials using learning management systems and/or online learning platforms with the goal of advancing information and enrollment data literacy;
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Institutional Research, and Academic Affairs to align reporting efforts and promote data-informed strategies;
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations, reports, and briefing materials;
  • Coordinates the preparation of institutional, state, and federal compliance reports, including submissions to CUNY Central;
  • Stay current with emerging enrollment trends, technology tools, and policy shifts to inform ongoing strategy;
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of data governance standards and best practices;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Power Bl, Tableau, and SOL.
  • Experience with CUNYfirst, EAB Navigate, Slate CRM, or Qless.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of higher education enrollment and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
