Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Boat Captain to manage the transportation and logistics for our aquaculture operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining vessels, particularly within the aquaculture or marine industries, and must comply with all UAE maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely navigate and operate vessels for transporting personnel, equipment, and aquaculture products.
• Oversee loading, unloading, and transportation of aquaculture materials and supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the vessel to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with UAE maritime safety regulations and international standards.
• Lead and supervise crew members, providing training and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with shore-based teams to ensure efficient logistics and timely operations.
• Maintain accurate records, including vessel logs, maintenance schedules, and trip reports.
• Participate in safety drills, emergency procedures, and any other safety-related training as per company and UAE standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid UAE Captain’s License with at least an STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) endorsement.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience operating vessels in commercial settings, preferably in aquaculture, fishing, or maritime industries.
• Knowledge of UAE maritime laws and regulations.
• Proficient in navigation, maritime safety, and weather conditions in the Arabian Gulf.
• Experience in vessel maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Leadership and crew management experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification (required).
• Fluency in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage).

Certificates/Regulations Required (UAE):

• STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate.
• Marine Captain License, compliant with UAE Federal Transport Authority (FTA) standards.
• Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Radio Operator License (GMDSS preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work long hours at sea and in various weather conditions.
• Physically fit to handle lifting and moving equipment.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and on water for extended periods.
