Main responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation, accounting, and cash‑balancing functions.
  • Monitor cashier accountability and report problems or shortages to management.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention and frontend management to resolve cash and shrink issues.
  • Assist Store Director with billing, invoices, and maintaining sales book, report sales to Division Office.
  • Complete administrative duties (ordering supplies, using computer programs, managing email).
  • Report attendance issues to management.
  • Manage hiring processes: application review, interviews, postings, new hire onboarding, training, orientation, and records.
  • Order and assign uniforms, nametags, and store supplies; maintain mail and office files.
  • Serve as liaison with HR and Labor Departments, handle payroll and benefits administration.
  • Coordinate and track leave paperwork (FMLA, disability, WC, military, etc.).
  • Maintain personnel and medical files in compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • Ensure minor employees have required work certificates and comply with labor laws.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
  • Support safety activities and service award programs (where applicable).
  • Support front‑end operations, answer phones, and act as overflow cashier as needed.
  • Manage Service Desk operations (if applicable) and enforce dress and grooming standards.

  • Cash handling, cash balancing, and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Ability to audit, research discrepancies, and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training coordination.
  • Payroll processing and timekeeping compliance.
  • Leave management (FMLA, disability, WC, etc.).
  • Records management aligned with retention and confidentiality policies.
  • Safety program coordination.
  • Administrative operations using computer programs, email, and recordkeeping systems.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of cash balancing, company policies, payroll, benefits, and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, percentages).
  • Proficiency using calculators, phones, software, and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in HR and medical documentation.
  • Ability to sit for long periods and perform physical movements such as bending, lifting up to 20 lbs, and general manual dexterity.
  • Good attendance, mental alertness, and the ability to maintain personal and workplace cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
