Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist with financial reporting. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and supporting our organizational goals. Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry, payment processing, and account analysis.
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations to support financial accuracy.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and providing detailed financial report writing for management review.
  • Conduct account reconciliation activities, including debits & credits, to verify the accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar programs.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts such as journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
  • Excellent skills in 10 key typing for data entry efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prior experience in public accounting or working within a nonprofit organization is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze accounts and prepare comprehensive financial reports. Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
