Now Hiring: Experienced Bookkeeper (Part-Time 2-3 Days/Week)

Retail Appliance Company | New Hampshire & Vermont

We are seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to support our growing retail appliance business with locations in New Hampshire and Vermont. This is a part-time position (approximately 2-3 days per week), ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys being part of a customer-focused team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Record daily sales and deposits across multiple locations
• Assist with payroll coordination and related reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management review
• Track inventory and cost of goods sold (retail experience strongly preferred)
• Support sales tax filings for NH & VT
• Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal staff
• Work closely with ownership and outside CPA/EA as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) – required
• Prior bookkeeping experience in retail (appliance, hardware, or similar a plus)
• Solid understanding of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, payroll, and sales tax
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working across multiple entities or locations
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets preferred
