Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect all financial activities accurately.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify account accuracy.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Generate detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, to support management decision-making.
- Support governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Conduct account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights into financial concepts for improved fiscal planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP standards.
- Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members.
- Technical proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
