BOOKKEEPER

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position’s primary goal is to provide bookkeeping services to our clients.

As a bookkeeper you play a crucial role in helping us provide services to our clients. Your job is to partner with our senior staff, helping them execute all necessary tasks and functions for your assigned clients.

Your role is to assist with the management and execution of entering data into QuickBooks Online accounting software, including entering all financial transactions, accounts payable bills and payments, recording accounts receivable invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, downloading, and organizing statements and documents, and maintaining our project management system.

JOB DESCRIPTION

QuickBooks Accounting Software Responsibilities:

  • Entering and categorizing bank and credit card transactions
  • Creating and maintaining transaction rules
  • Entering vendor bills and vendor payments
  • Entering customer invoices and customer payments
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts

Document Management Responsibilities:

  • Downloading, naming, and saving vendor invoices, payroll reports, and bank, credit card, and loan account statements
  • Managing and saving backup documentation to QuickBooks Online
  • Collecting W-9 forms from vendors and 1099 preparation
  • Preparing and sending monthly reports as directed

General Tasks and Expectations:

  • Notifying senior staff and management of accounting errors
  • Striving to increase efficiency, improve the accounting process, and find ways to automate whenever possible
  • Weekly/bi-weekly Google Meet video meetings with clients and team members
  • Communicate and interact with clients via email, phone, or Goggle Meet
  • Meeting all established deadlines

SKILLS, ABILITIES, & ATTRIBUTES

The ideal candidate possesses the following strengths and skills:

  • 3-5 years of work experience using QuickBooks
  • An ability to manage/prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • A helpful and positive disposition – you love to help!
  • You have the ability to use: Google Calendar & G Suite, Zoom, Time tracking software, Password management software, and Project management software
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • You must be a self-starter with the ability to be productive from your home office

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
