Intro

Richmond & Associates Landscaping is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations for a fast‑paced, multi‑branch landscaping company. This individual will work closely with the VP of Finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness across accounts payable, purchasing, credit card processing, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting both operations and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities Daily & Ongoing Accounting

  • Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple clients/entities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Assist with financial reporting and account analysis.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address operational and financial challenges.
  • Contribute to improving processes, systems, and overall accounting efficiency.
  • Insurance Administration (vehicle, general liability, etc.)
  • Assist with vehicle registration and filings

Banking & Reconciliations

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Reconcile credit card statements monthly, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between receipts, expense reports, and statements.

Credit Card & Expense Processing

  • Process and code corporate credit card transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation, coding, and approval workflows.

Month‑End & Year‑End Close

  • Assist with monthly close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
  • Support coordination of year‑end tax filings and compliance requirements.

Tax & Compliance Support

  • Assist with tax‑related matters, filings, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.
  • Process Sales Tax Payment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, or other service‑based industries preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required.
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations).
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
