Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits across accounts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with payroll processing, including tax calculations and compliance with governmental regulations.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and revenue streams to aid financial planning.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks with precision to maintain accurate records for both nonprofit and corporate accounting environments.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing relevant documentation and supporting audit processes when necessary.
- Conduct account analysis and general ledger accounting to identify discrepancies or irregularities for prompt resolution.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, ideally within corporate or nonprofit settings.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent tools is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices, and technical accounting concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes along with experience in account analysis and budgeting.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
