Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrative Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day accounting and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable handling routine accounting tasks in a fast-paced business environment.
The right candidate will help manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll support, reconciliations, data entry, and general office/accounting administration.
Responsibilities
- Enter vendor bills and process accounts payable
- Create customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable
- Track payments, deposits, and collections
- Assist with weekly or biweekly payroll processing
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and files
- Enter job, customer, vendor, and financial data as needed
- Help prepare reports for management
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications
- Prior bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or administrative accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Spectrum, QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation, NetSuite, or similar accounting software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Good communication and follow-up skills
- Payroll experience is a plus
- Construction industry experience is strongly preferred but not required
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes ownership of their work. They do not need to be a controller or high-level accountant, but they should understand basic bookkeeping, be comfortable with numbers, and be able to keep accounting processes moving accurately and on time.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
