Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrative Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day accounting and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable handling routine accounting tasks in a fast-paced business environment.

The right candidate will help manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll support, reconciliations, data entry, and general office/accounting administration.

Responsibilities

  • Enter vendor bills and process accounts payable
  • Create customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable
  • Track payments, deposits, and collections
  • Assist with weekly or biweekly payroll processing
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and files
  • Enter job, customer, vendor, and financial data as needed
  • Help prepare reports for management
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or administrative accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Spectrum, QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation, NetSuite, or similar accounting software is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and follow-up skills
  • Payroll experience is a plus
  • Construction industry experience is strongly preferred but not required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes ownership of their work. They do not need to be a controller or high-level accountant, but they should understand basic bookkeeping, be comfortable with numbers, and be able to keep accounting processes moving accurately and on time.

Monday through Friday
Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
