Bookkeeper/Accountant

Full Charge Bookkeeper (Staff Accountant) - Full Time (Woodland Hills)

Blankstein & Company, CPA firm in Woodland Hills seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant.

Candidate MUST have 3-5 years of recent experience in a CPA/public accounting firm. We will NOT consider any candidate that don't have this requirement.

This position is in office only, remote work is NOT possible at this time.

We are a fast-paced office with a wide range of clients in various industries. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented and understand the bookkeeping/accounting process from start to finish.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience in a CPA office - REQUIRED
  • Must have strong computer skills including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Excel, Word
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using various software and applications
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation
  • Ability to communicate and interreact professionally with clients and tax agencies
  • Must work under strict deadlines and manage multiple clients
  • Enthusiastic and demonstrate the ability to learn and work efficiently
  • Be an important part of a team in a small accounting office setting

Job Duties including but not limited to:

  • Write-up work (monthly, quarterly and annual)
  • Posting to a general ledger, journal entries through preparation of financial statements
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Business Management
  • Client payroll and quarterly/annual payroll tax returns & W-2’s
  • 1099’s
  • Sales tax returns (multi-state)
  • City business tax filings
  • Property tax statement filings

This is an in-person, full-time position with potential overtime on weekends during the busy season.

Salary range is competitive based on experience. Benefits include Vacation, Sick Days, Health Insurance, Disability Insurance and 401(k) with employer match.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
