Branch Accountant

We are looking to appoint a skilled and detail-oriented Branch Accountant to oversee the complete financial operations of our branch in Muscat, Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all core accounting activities for the branch, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and intercompany reconciliations.
• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycles, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, conduct routine bank reconciliations, and enforce effective cash control procedures.
• Administer trade finance functions, including handling Letters of Credit (LCs) and bank guarantees.
• Work closely with the Head Office finance team and Branch Manager to align financial processes with business objectives.
• Act as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings in accordance with Omani regulations.
• Maintain and manage financial data using Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
• Currently based in Oman with 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience within the local market.
• Proven track record in handling end-to-end accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Strong understanding of Omani tax regulations and financial compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage branch-level financial responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP will be an added advantage.

Pay: RO600.000 - RO800.000 per month

• Accountant - Oman Market: 3 years (Required)
• End-to-End Accounting and Financial Reporting functions: 3 years (Required)
• Omani Tax Regulations and Financial Compliance : 3 years (Preferred)
