Branch Manager

BRANCH MANAGER – The Scott County Public Library in Gate City, Virginia has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours per week) Branch Manager. This position is primarily responsible for the management of a branch library of the Lonesome Pine Regional Library. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends. A Bachelor’s degree is required; ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information sciences preferred. Previous public library and/or managerial experience preferred. Must possess the ability to successfully communicate both verbally and through the written word. The ability to adapt and work well within a constantly changing environment is a must. Must possess excellent computer skills as well as a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Satisfactory reference and criminal background check are a condition of employment.
