What is my role?

The Brand Manager of License Business Development role’s main function is to help assist in the development of work flow and process for all new businesses. This includes direct relationships with our Licensor and Brand partners on business, process, and creative needs in order to drive sales. Other key responsibility include connecting the dots internally between Sales, Account Management, Merchandising, and Creative on all projects with Licensors or retailers when it pertains to all new businesses.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining our Portal including workflow, creative submissions, and asset management.
  • Project leader for all style guide/asset creation from concept to completion including branding, initial legal and trademark clearance, etc.
  • Work closely with sales teams and Sr. Director, Licensing to ensure that information from retail meetings are filtered in a timely manner and next steps for development are executed accurately.
  • Ensure that all internal and external partners are quickly notified of any updates being made on style guides, assets & branding elements (Screen neck labels, hangtags, etc.)
  • Bridge the gap between Licensing, Creative, Sales and external partners to ensure that everyone is kept fully informed of all pertinent information. (On-floor dates, New or embargoed assets, etc.)
  • Assist in gathering info for all license reporting requirements including forecasting, placement reports, selling reports
  • Main point of contact for smaller licensors and under Sr. Director’s guidance lead contract renewal process for assigned partners
  • Works directly with their counterpart on the Licensing Submissions team to ensure that styles are being submitted in a timely fashion
  • Daily communication with Licensor and Brand partners including:
    • Weekly/ Quarterly Placement Reports
    • Weekly/ Quarterly Selling Reports
    • Creative Needs and Updates
    • Major issues with approvals and/or deliveries
    • Day-to-day needs
  • Establish and maintain weekly Team tracker and Contract Tracker to ensure all deadlines are being met.
  • Establish and maintain all business, creative, and approval workflows that meet the individual needs of each partner.
  • Maintain all marketing and licensing/brand tools to be used by the cross-functional teams including the marketing calendar, cheat sheets, when needed.

What You'll Need

  • 3-7 Years of licensing experience or a combination of design, production, or product development experience in the apparel industry preferred.
  • 3-7 Years of management experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator helpful
  • Customer service experience helpful
