Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and reliable Breakfast Chef to lead the preparation and execution of our breakfast service across café and fine dining settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for morning cuisine, excellent cooking techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes including classic, international, and signature items.
- Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen before, during, and after service.
- Monitor and control food costs, portion sizes, and minimize waste.
- Assist in menu development and seasonal breakfast specials in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP practices).
- Work efficiently to deliver consistent quality during peak breakfast hours.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff as needed during breakfast operations.
- Communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth coordination and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5- 10years of experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar role in a café, hotel, or fine dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of classic breakfast items (eggs, pancakes, waffles, toast, pastries) and international breakfast trends ( shakshouka, avocado toast, acai bowls).
- Skilled in cooking eggs in all styles (poached, scrambled, soft-boiled, omelets, etc.).
- Excellent knife skills and kitchen techniques.
- Passion for food presentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early morning shifts (starting as early as 5–6 AM).
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Familiar with kitchen health & safety regulations.
