Bus Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bus Driver to join our team at the Southeast Bus Garage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their designated locations while providing excellent customer service. This full-time position requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a positive experience for all riders.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bus safely and efficiently, following established routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations, including speed limits and safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and incidents as required.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Previous experience driving buses or large vehicles preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Physical ability to assist passengers and perform necessary vehicle inspections.
