Business Analyst

PeerSource is currently recruiting for multiple Business Analysts on a Contract basis. This role is based out of Miami, FL. Only local candidates will be considered; no C2C/third parties .

Summary

Seeking a Business Analyst to support a major system modernization initiative by gathering and documenting business requirements and facilitating communication between business users and technical teams. This role is critical for ensuring business needs are translated accurately into system functionality and is best suited for someone experienced with legacy system replacement and agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the elicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into system specifications.
• Conduct gap analyses and process modeling using BPMN or similar methodologies.
• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables based on business requirements.
• Support testing efforts by creating test plans and verifying implementation against requirements.
• Maintain traceability matrices and participate in change management activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and serve as liaison between departments.
• Support UAT efforts, defect tracking, and resolution during testing phases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably on large-scale software development or modernization projects.
• Demonstrated experience working on government or public sector projects.
• Proficient in business process modeling, use case documentation, and requirement traceability.
• Experience with legacy system replacements and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification preferred.
