Business Analyst

The role is responsible for leading the Business Analysis function and ensuring effective translation of business needs into technology-driven solutions. This position oversees requirements management, process mapping, solution design, and stakeholder engagement to support enterprise systems, digital transformation, automation, and innovation initiatives. The role ensures business value realization through robust requirement gathering, documentation, validation, and alignment across IT, business, and operations teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish, lead, and mature the IT Business Analysis (BA) function and practices
  • Develop and govern BA frameworks, standards, templates, and methodologies
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape digital transformation and automation initiatives
  • Align BA activities with enterprise architecture, PMO, and overall IT strategy

Business Requirements & Solution Design

  • Lead requirements elicitation and documentation including BRDs, FRDs, SRS, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct feasibility studies, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution modeling
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT teams and vendors
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability between business needs and delivered solutions
  • Develop and manage requirement, scope, and quality plans

Project Delivery Support

  • Collaborate with PMO on project scoping, prioritization, and planning
  • Support QA and testing teams by validating test cases against requirements
  • Oversee UAT planning, execution, and business sign-off
  • Govern change requests and manage the requirements lifecycle

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Manage expectations, scope, and communication across business units
  • Collaborate with vendors and system integrators to ensure solution alignment

Process Excellence & Innovation

  • Drive process improvement, automation, and digital enablement initiatives
  • Introduce best practices including BPM, Lean, Agile BA, and Design Thinking
  • Maintain BA knowledge base, business rules catalog, and process repositories

Governance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor BA performance through metrics, dashboards, and periodic reviews
  • Build and mature competencies in requirement management tools and standards


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile frameworks
  • Proficiency with BA and collaboration tools (Visio, Jira, Confluence, BPM tools)
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, RPA/Automation, and Data/BI platforms
  • Strong requirements engineering and modeling skills (UML, BPMN, wireframes, use cases)
  • Proven people leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • High attention to detail, clarity, and process orientation
  • 7–8+ years of IT experience spanning software development, business analysis, and project management
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or MIS
  • CBAP or CCBA certification
  • PMI-PBA certification
  • Agile certification (CSPO, CSM, or ICP-BAF)
  • ITIL Foundation certification will be preferred
