Business Analyst (Banking Products)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in banking products, including accounts, loans, deposits, and Islamic banking products. The role involves gathering business requirements, writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD), and converting AS-IS documents into BRDs. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and solid project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements through workshops, interviews, and surveys.
• Analyze and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and ensure stakeholder approval.
• Review and analyze AS-IS documents and convert them into accurate BRDs.
• Validate BRDs with stakeholders for accuracy and completeness.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking products including account types, loan products, deposit products, and Islamic banking products such as mudarabah, murabahah, and sukuk.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Support project planning, effort estimation, dependency identification, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery and manage risks by escalating issues when needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business users, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring transparent communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, specifically with banking products.
• Proven experience in preparing BRDs and converting AS-IS documents.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio; experience with business analysis tools such as IBM Rational RequisitePro is an asset.
• CBAP or CABA certification is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
