Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Wholesale Banking to support large-scale transformation and system enhancement initiatives within Wholesale Banking.
The role will serve as a key interface between business units, IT delivery teams, vendors, and governance functions, ensuring alignment with business strategy, IT roadmap, and enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Wholesale Banking transformation and system enhancement initiatives.
- Act as liaison between Wholesale Banking, IT teams, vendors, and governance stakeholders.
- Ensure requirements align with business strategy and enterprise architecture principles.
- Contribute to initiative scoping, feasibility studies, and solution evaluations.
- Gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for:
Corporate & Business Banking platforms
Transaction Banking (cash management, payments, host-to-host)
Trade Finance, lending, limits, and collateral systems
Customer onboarding and servicing processes
- Prepare documentation including:
Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
Functional Specifications / User Stories
Process flows, use cases, and data flow diagrams
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and requirement sign-offs.
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams.
- Support UAT planning and execution (test case validation, defect triage).
- Manage change requests and conduct impact analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
- Support production rollout and post-implementation stabilization.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Strong exposure to Wholesale Banking systems (Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Lending).
- Experience working on vendor-led implementations.
- Hands-on involvement in UAT, change management, and go-live support.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Oman or GCC banking sector preferred.
- Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or equivalent) – Preferred.
