Job Summary

Dynamic, well established (over 30 years), leading Plastic Manufacturing company in the Northwest Houston area is seeking a Business Development Associate. This is an entry level sales position. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate associate to help improving our campaigns, PR Presence, sales support tools and trade show strategies.

The successful candidate will have a history of two (2) plus years in a similar role maintaining external relationships, with excellent customer service in the business-to-business services industry.

Job Duties

- Assist the Business Development Manager in communication, discovery, follow up, and all client/agent interaction for new and existing business opportunities.

- Be dedicated to assist with sales, client/agent development, and overall office growth.

- Discover opportunities in existing client database and develop new opportunities through each new company leads as well as self-generated business.

- Promote the company by taking each opportunity to learn more about existing and new clients.

- Assist with serving our client’s needs, their goals, their demands while presenting our products and complete menu offerings.

- Acquire and maintain active knowledge in our industry, related changes/initiatives and communication on findings being sent back to the team and utilized in sales process with clients.

- Fully engage in full sales cycle from initial contact with a prospective customer to discovery, through ongoing follow up for ever developing book of business.

- Maintain clean and organized desks ensuring a quality work environment.

Required Skills

  • Academic degree in Business (preferred) or related business field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge in social media marketing, and content management is a plus.
  • Must have a professional demeanor to interact with our company and our clients.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have good organization skills.
  • Must be flexible with their work schedule is a plus.
  • Must have experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Pay is DOE.

Benefits will vest after 90 days and include:

This is a Non-Exempt position.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
