Business Development Billing Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive proactive Business Development Billing Officer to join our Business Development team within a leading transportation and logistics company.

This role is critical in ensuring that all executed transportation and logistics services are accurately converted into revenue through timely and accurate invoicing, while supporting revenue assurance and improving cash flow performance

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices for transportation and logistics services in accordance with contractual rates and agreed commercial terms.
• Verify completed trips and services against operational records prior to invoicing.
• Ensure all supporting documents are available, including:
• Proof of Delivery (POD)
• Delivery Notes
• Trip Sheets
• Approved rate confirmations.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Finance, and Business Development teams to ensure timely billing cycles.
• Monitor and track unbilled shipments and revenue leakage risks.
• Support Finance in resolving customer billing inquiries and disputes.
• Maintain accurate billing records within ERP/TMS systems.
• Generate periodic reports on invoicing status, pending revenue, and billing performance.
• Ensure invoices are issued within agreed billing timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or revenue control within transportation or logistics companies.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and contract-based pricing.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
