The Business Development Executive plays a key role in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the contracting and interior fit-out sector. This includes building strong client relationships, positioning the company strategically in the market, and ensuring sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in the UAE construction/fit-out market, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong network of industry contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Lead Generation:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the contracting and fit-out market.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients including consultants, developers, architects, and facility managers.
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitors, and upcoming projects.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Schedule and attend meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Sales & Tendering Support:
- Collaborate with the estimation and technical teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Assist in pre-qualification, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders to maximize conversion rates.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry players.
- Support the development of strategic alliances to enhance the company’s market positioning.
- Brand & Marketing Initiatives:
- Represent the company in networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support branding, online campaigns, and corporate communication strategies.
- Reporting & Forecasting:
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market intelligence.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development within the contracting and/or fit-out industry in the UAE or GCC.
- Strong understanding of construction and fit-out processes, tendering, and project execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks and client relationships.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Preferred:
- UAE driving license.
- Existing network of clients and consultants in the UAE fit-out market.
- Experience with government and semi-government entities (e.g., prequalification & vendor registration).
