Business Development Executive

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Business Development / Regional Sales , you will take ownership of revenue growth and market expansion—not just oversee activities. With support from your team, you will:

Market & Channel Expansion

  • Develop, manage, and expand a strong network of clients, partners, and distributors across assigned regions - Chennai
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to strengthen market presence.

Field Sales & Client Engagement

  • Actively engage with prospective clients, partners, and key stakeholders to promote products and services.
  • Conduct regular field visits to build visibility, trust, and long-term relationships.

Ownership of Sales Cycle

  • Lead the entire sales process—from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and project execution.

Customer-Centric Approach

  • Understand client needs and recommend the most suitable solutions.
  • Conduct confident and clear product presentations tailored to customer requirements

Project & Team Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams, EPC players, and distributors to support seamless project execution.
  • Address on-ground technical or logistical challenges in a timely manner.

Reporting & Strategic Improvement

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales performance.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to refine sales strategy and optimize channel operations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the solar industry with proven exposure to B2B sales, distribution, or regional sales.
  • Strong interest in business development, sales leadership, and renewable energy or technology-driven solutions.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, distribution management, or regional sales (solar/clean tech preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable traveling across regions and managing field operations.
  • Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, Business, or related fields.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
