What is a Business Development Head- B2G?
The Business Development Head (BDH) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and expansion efforts of the business development function in a areas with limited existing presence. The BDH will lead and mentor a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), drive business growth, identify market opportunities, and ensure the achievement of overall business objectives. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and hands-on leadership to establish and grow the company's presence in the region.
The BDH for the South Region will be responsible for leading and managing a business development team focused on achieving sales targets, establishing partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities. This role demands an advocate with exceptional skills in diplomacy, networking, and persuasion to effectively engage with governmental institutions, NGOs, INGOs, and stakeholders.
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Business Development Head B2G?
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
·      Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the assigned area, aligning with company goals and regional opportunities.
·      Identify and prioritize market segments and growth opportunities in the region and devise strategic initiatives to address them.
Team Management:
·      Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team.
·      Define clear objectives and KPIs and conduct regular performance assessments to ensure targets are met.
·      Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages sharing best practices and continuous improvement.
Sales Management
·      Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to penetrate the government sector an achieve revenue goals.
·      Drive high sales performance through targeted coaching and support for the sales team.
·      Monitor and analyze and market trends to refine strategies and enhance results.
·      Sales Pipeline management
·      Meet monthly/quarterly sales target.
Advocacy and Relationship Management:
·      Act as a key advocate for JazzCash in engaging with government entities, regulators, and other public sector stakeholders.
·      Develop and nurture strategic relationships to increase brand visibility and support business goals.
·      Utilize strong advocacy skills to communicate the value and benefits of JAZZCASH solutions to government stakeholders.
New Business Development:
·      Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector, conducting market research to understand potential needs.
·      Drive product innovation based on feedback and requirements from governmental clients.
·      Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns that resonate with public sector audiences.
Compliance and Risk Management:
·      Ensure all business development efforts conform to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
·      Identify potential risks associated with government partnerships and develop mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Management:
·  Lead, mentor, and manage the team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
·  Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and individual targets.
Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management:
·  Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, local partners, clients, and industry influencers.
·  Represent the company at local events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance business visibility and forge new partnerships.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
·  Oversee the tracking and reporting of sales performance metrics for the remote area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
·  Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Training & Development
·  Identify skill gaps and training needs within the regional team and implement development programs to enhance their effectiveness.
·  Facilitate ongoing learning and professional growth opportunities for team members.
 Operational Excellence & Compliance:
·  Ensure that all business development activities adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
·  Streamline processes and improve operational efficiency to support effective business development.
