Job Summary
The BESS Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales, business development, and technical support for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions, including grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid, and backup energy storage systems.
The role bridges technical engineering expertise and commercial sales, supporting clients from initial concept, feasibility, system design, proposal development, and commercial closure, while coordinating with internal engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Drive sales and business development for BESS solutions including grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid, and backup systems.
2. Identify and manage BESS opportunities for C&I, industrial, and renewable energy clients.
3. Lead the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
4. Conduct client meetings, site surveys, and technical requirement assessments.
5. Perform preliminary BESS sizing (kWh, kW/MW), system configuration, and feasibility analysis.
6. Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals, pricing, and ROI models.
7. Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, finance, and execution teams for optimized solutions.
8. Ensure compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
9. Track sales pipeline, forecasts, KPIs, and maintain CRM documentation.
10. Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and support development of Solar + BESS solutions.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Energy / Renewable Engineering with degree in sales & marketing.
2. 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, EPC, or energy solutions (BESS experience preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of battery technologies, inverters, EMS, and hybrid energy systems.
4. Proven technical selling, negotiation, and commercial proposal skills.
5. Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools; sizing software exposure is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
