Job Description – Business Development Lead

Position Title: Business Development Lead
Location: Mansehra
Reports To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Purpose

The Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, searching and monitoring tenders, preparing and submitting high-quality proposals, and building strong relationships with clients to enhance the company’s growth and market presence. This role is central to securing contracts and ensuring the company’s sustained expansion in the goods supply sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Identification & Tracking; Regularly search, monitor, and track relevant tenders through various platforms, portals, and networks.
Maintain a database of upcoming opportunities and deadlines.

Proposal Development; Analyze tender requirements, prepare detailed technical and financial proposals, and ensure timely submission.
Coordinate with internal departments for accurate costing, compliance documents, and certifications.
Ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and highlight the company’s strengths.

Client Engagement & Business Growth; Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, donors, and partner organizations. Represent the company in meetings, networking events, and industry forums. Negotiate with clients to secure business contracts and favorable terms.

Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential new clients. Recommend strategies to enhance competitiveness and business positioning.

Reporting & Compliance: Maintain records of proposals submitted, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Provide regular updates and reports to management on business development activities and progress.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3–5 years of proven experience in business development, tendering, or proposal writing (preferably in goods supply, procurement, or related sectors).
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and proposal development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online tender portals.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
