Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Pune
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports to: Head – Business Development / Managing Director
Experience: 5–10 years (preferably in Solar EPC or Renewable Energy sector)

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage business development activities for the Solar EPC division by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through successful project acquisition in both rooftop and ground-mounted solar markets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities in the solar EPC domain (rooftop, ground-mounted, industrial, commercial, and utility-scale).
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies to achieve sales targets and market expansion.
  • Generate and manage leads through networking, partnerships, cold calls, digital platforms, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations, proposals, and tenders.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, government bodies, and financial institutions.
  • Understand client needs and provide customized EPC solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

3. Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
  • Provide market intelligence inputs for pricing, product development, and strategic decision-making.

4. Coordination & Project Handover

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Execution) for proposal preparation and project handover.
  • Ensure smooth transition of projects from sales to execution phase with complete documentation and client expectations alignment.

5. Tendering & Proposal Management

  • Review and respond to RFQs/RFPs from government and private clients.
  • Prepare techno-commercial bids with support from design and finance teams.
  • Negotiate terms and close contracts profitably.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of solar EPC project lifecycle (design, procurement, construction, and commissioning).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in project acquisition and sales in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong network in industrial, commercial, and government sectors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and project management software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Energy) or related field.
  • MBA or PG Diploma in Marketing / Business Development (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Infrastructure business development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
