Job Description – Business Development Manager (Offshore Projects, US Market)

Position: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Location: Padur, Chennai
Experience: 5+ years in IT Services Sales / Business Development (US Market focus)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead our efforts in acquiring new clients and IT projects from the US market for offshore delivery. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in IT services sales, client relationship management, and a strong network within US-based enterprises, consulting firms, or system integrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for offshore IT services with US-based clients.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and partner channels.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients in the US.
  • Understand client needs, pain points, and propose suitable offshore service offerings (Application Development, ERP/CRM, Cloud, Data, AI/ML, QA, Support, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to design tailored proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring profitability and long-term engagement.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to company growth in the US region.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and US IT outsourcing/offshoring market dynamics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Business Development / Sales in IT services (offshore model preferred).
  • Strong network and connections with US-based clients (Direct customers or Tier-1 vendors).
  • Deep understanding of IT outsourcing, staff augmentation, and offshore project delivery models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Flexibility to work in overlapping time zones with the US market.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or IT (preferred).

Good to Have

  • Prior experience selling services in domains such as Healthcare, BFSI, Retail, Manufacturing, or Telecom.
  • Understanding of US contracting models (Corp-to-Corp, W2, SOW).
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
