Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth in the educational travel sector. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling educational tours, cultural immersion trips, and student travel programs to schools, colleges, and universities.
You will build and nurture relationships with educators, academic institutions, and decision-makers, helping them deliver impactful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with schools, colleges, universities, and educational organizations.
- Promote a portfolio of domestic and international educational tours and immersion trips, aligned with curriculum goals.
- Build relationships with school principals, heads of departments, teachers, deans, and program coordinators.
- Conduct in-person and virtual presentations to promote travel programs to staff, students, and parents.
- Customize proposals and itineraries based on institutional needs and budgets.
- Work closely with the operations and travel planning teams to ensure smooth execution post-sale.
- Attend education fairs, teacher conferences, and networking events to generate leads.
- Track sales activities, leads, and conversions using CRM systems.
- Stay updated on educational trends, academic calendars, and travel regulations.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and activity KPIs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in educational travel, experiential learning, or student exchange programs.
- Strong understanding of how schools and colleges plan educational tours and off-campus activities.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage the full sales cycle independently.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, school presentations, and educational events.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Existing network within the education sector (schools, colleges, IB or international schools).
- Familiarity with student visa processes, group travel logistics, and international safety protocols.
- Experience working with travel CRM platforms and proposal tools.
- Passion for cultural exchange, global education, and student empowerment.
