Business Development Manager - Retail

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion within the retail sector. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships to enhance revenue and brand positioning.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including new store locations, partnerships, and market segments
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead expansion strategies (new branches, franchises, or distribution channels)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, and key stakeholders
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and agreements with partners and suppliers
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful execution of growth plans
  • Analyze sales performance and business trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and investment proposals
  • Monitor market trends and customer behavior to adapt strategies accordingly
  • Achieve revenue growth targets and expansion KPIs

🔹 Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in business development within the retail industry
  • Proven track record in expanding retail operations or launching new stores
  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
  • Experience dealing with malls, landlords, and retail developers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

🔹 Preferred Background:

  • Experience in multi-branch retail chains (fashion, F&B, or FMCG)
  • Familiarity with site selection and retail expansion strategies
  • Experience in franchise development is a plus
