Business Development Representative

Business Development Representative (BDR)

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities by proactively engaging prospective clients, conducting initial outreach, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for the Business Development Management team. This role combines strategic thinking with high volume outreach to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Outreach - Conduct proactive outreach to new leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Make first contact with prospective clients to introduce our service offerings and assess suitability.
  • Lead Qualification - Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Meeting Scheduling & Pipeline Support - Book qualified meetings directly into Business Development Managers' calendars. Coordinate introductions and ensure smooth transition from initial outreach to the BDM team.
  • Market Intelligence - Track competitor activity and share insights with sales leadership. Identify companies hiring contractors or undergoing expansion aligned with our specialty services.
Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, lead generation, inside sales, or a comparable role.
  • Strong track record of proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone and in email.
  • Comfortable working independently with strong time management abilities.
