The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to be the engine of our new client acquisition efforts. This role is crucial for our growth, blending proactive lead generation, in-depth market research, and smooth client transition into our project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Outreach (Drive Leads)

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new potential clients for custom software development services through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and professional networking.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach campaigns targeting key decision-makers and relevant industries.
  • Generate qualified leads and schedule introductory meetings or demonstrations for the senior sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities in the CRM system.

2. Market and Client Research

  • Conduct in-depth research on target markets, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Perform detailed research on potential client needs, existing technology stacks, and key challenges to personalize outreach and inform sales strategy.
  • Identify high-value client segments and ideal customer profiles (ICPs) for our specific service offerings.

3. Client Onboarding & Transition

  • Act as the primary point of contact for qualified leads, guiding them through the initial stages of the sales process.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand client requirements and align them with our service capabilities.
  • Facilitate a smooth handover of the client and project brief to the technical/project management team post-sale.
  • Assist in the preparation of initial proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, or Lead Generation, preferably within a B2B environment (software, IT services, or SaaS preferred).
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude: Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Technology: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and various prospecting tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
